[downgrading...]

I also flashed the PSP to 4.01 M33-2 using HellCat's Recovery Flasher, resetting the flashes along the way. Result: the non-SVN 0.13 still doesn't run :p

[upgrading...]

And not even on very latest 5.00 M33-6.
There's something wrong with that build, unless the different menu has to do with it.

Yeah, I know Pix's builds are SVNs. I was just curious if they work. Do they?

If yes, then - wow!
This is one weird case we're having here.

edit:

Did you try disabling ALL the plugins you're running, before running up SCUMMVM?

You could still try the kxploited 1.5 version!
Install DA's Leda 0.2 beforehand (here) and put the "dual-eboot" ScummVM in GAME150.

I seriously can't think of anything else, hah.

You probably missed my previous post because it's on the previous page:

So yes Pix' versions do work.

Disabling the plugins doesn't help with the official non-SVN release.

I just tried LEDA as you suggested - no changes.

So there's apparently no way to run the official version, while Pix' work. I also note that Pix' menu is very different than 0.12, but maybe that's a feature :)

Actually, it's more of a "lack of feature", heh. "Modern" theme just isn't included in the SVNs.

But back to your issue, I am really left clueless. The official 0.13 works perfectly on my end.

There is ONE LAST THING you could try doing.

Back up your whole Memstick somewhere, format it (using the PSP's XMB option) and install SCUMMVM alone, without recopying anything else.

If it doesn't work on a clean, fresh memstick then we might as well consider it the work of the devil, heh.

Sounds like a problem loading the modern theme.

Can you try deleting both the scummmodern.zip file and scummmodern directory see if it runs then? And additionally, also try with both of them present (perhaps you forgot to copy one or the other?)

Hi,

It works without scummmodern* indeed :) (with oldish theme)

And when I make sure both of them are present, it reboots.

Both, as in the old and the new one? Just keep the new one

"Both" as in joostp's "both the scummmodern.zip file and scummmodern directory".

So if those files are present, it reboots, and if they are missing, I get the old theme.

Could you try Pix's newest 0.14 SVN? He updated it today with modern theme included.

Works perfectly on my end (but so does the official 0.13).
Just a suggestion.
