The 7th Guest - ScummVM won't find it
Hi,
I got the English version of "The 7th Guest". It runs in DosBox.
But when I want to add it to ScummVM, I get the message ScummVM could not a find a game in the directory.
I tried several locations: all the directories in the disc(s) (or rather the mounted ISO files). The (small) directory from the DosBox installation.
I also copied all the files from the two CDs into one folder which now contains all the files listed here:
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Datafiles#7th_Guest.2C_The
But still ScummVM won't find a game anywhere. How do I do this?
Cheers,
Mac

That's the way it should work.
Which version of ScummVM do you use? It will not work in 0.12.0, so you need a current SVN snapshot.
ps: If you get it running don't forget to rip the audio tracks.

Sorry, Complete novice here.
I tried to run 7th guest with a patch, and in dosbos. Both times i cannot hear the speech, the music is too loud.
I read that you can change the speech and music with scumm.
I have used it in the past for things like monkey island etc.. but i cant get it working for 7th.
If someone would be so kind as to give me an idiots guide to how to get it work i would be very gratefull. (i have no idea what the snapshot stuff you talk about is)
Thanks

Go to the bottom of the download page and download the latest(unstable) version of ScummVM from there.
