FeebleFiles on PocketPC (Touch HD)

Post by Rijndael »

Hi,
I try to run the german version of Feeble Files (Floyd - Es gibt noch Helden 4CD) on my HTC Touch HD.
It crashs whit the Error: "loadVGAVideoFiles: Read failed"
I have converted all Videofiles and it works on WindowsXP.

Did anybody managed to run FeebleFiles on mobile device?

My System:
HTC Touch HD res: 800x600
MobileWindows 6.1
ScummVM 0.12.0

In addition.. after I have install the FeebleFiles on my WindowsXP and Converted the Videofiles (now it works on winxp) .. I have just copied the whole Folder to my MobileDevice.. is there anything else to do for MobileWindows?

Thanks,

Rijndael

I have the same problem here with my QVGA iPaq Hx2750 (2003SE).

It is not a problem with the sound file encoding, nor a problem with the presence of the file (would be a "Can't load").

It seems that the (opened) file could not be entirely read (read bytes != file size).

Any hints?

You should enable the debug output for more detailed information. How this can be done is mentioned in README-WINCE.txt

O.k. I created a bug report (item 2580993).

The logfiles are attached to the report.

I deleted the disk1/disk2/disk3/disk4 files since there aren't actually used by ScummVM and rebuild the executeable
only with the AGOS engine.

Now "The Feeble Files" are up and running.

It seems to be a memory problem and it is version independend. I tried with the GOG englisch version of Feeble and the v0.12.0 release and it is not working with my device, too.

Nevertheless, the solution with an special AGOS startup executeable is working fine for me.
