Need Custom Firmware?

I absolutely need a custom firmware to install the ScummVM on PSP? Because if i install it now the scummVM icon appears when i chose it in games, but if i start the application it gives me an error.

yes you do, the eboot's picture will show up on any psp but it is not signed by sony so can't boot without CFW
