Curse of Monkey Island Cutscenes

Post by temporaryscars »

They run kind of slow on my PSP. I did a search of the forums, and didn't really turn anything up. Is there a fix to this problem?

If you're on 3.80 or above - try this -

Also, install CWCHEAT and set your PSP to 333 mhz while running COMI.

Thanks, but I figured it out already. All I did was downgrade my Scummvm version and now it works great.

Try the Sourceforge download page - they list all prior releases

Hang on, does the PSP port support COMI then? I thought its screen resolution would've been too much of a burden for such a handheld (I know it is for the DS at least).

0.10.0 works better for me as well on CF 3.90 M33.
(better than 0.11.1).

I get less slow downs even in the opening cutscene as you approach the island and the text appears for the island.

I and running COMI completely uncompressed on a 4gb Sandisk Ultra II card and performed the FATSMOD .prx mod to increase the memory card speed to 3.71 M33 levels.

Yeah, it's running pretty slow on my PSP too which is running off of the 0.12 build. It'd be great if the team could fix this on the next version.

custom firmware 5.00 m33-6 is out, it has an option to increase the speed that the PSP reads data off the Memory Stick (it's disabled by default, but you can enable it through the recovery menu)

I'm running this latest CFW and ScummVM 0.10.0 on my PSP-100X series and it's positively flying. COMI has really smooth gameplay now.

Just watched the videos of COMI on Youtube... think I'm going to have to go ahead and put some custom Firmware on my PSP, that was such a good game and it looks great running on a small screen. I haven't used my PSP for ages, so it'll be nice to give it some life again!
