Monkey Island 1 on Mypal A370

Post by Lind »

Hello and thank you for this awesome software! 8)

I've looked around but haven't found the solution for my problem; I apologize in advance for the possibility that I've overlooked it.

I'm running ScummVM 0.8.0 on my Asus Mypal A370 and it works fine until I talk to the important-looking pirates in the bar; then it crashes and says:

ERROR: (28:220:0x1737C) Value 20703 is out of bounds (0,4095) (Bit variable 20703 out of range(r))

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hello,

which version of monkey island do you use (Amiga, DOS, CDROM ...) ? Maybe you are using a version which causes trouble with PocketPC (I'm not sure, if there is such a version).

Maybe your data files are corrupt. Try to copy them again to your PDA or Storage card. Maybe you can try to run them with another Version of ScummVM, e.g. Windows or Linux.

My Monkey Island DOS VGA Version runs flawlessly on my Axim X50v with ScummVM 0.8.0.

best regards

Hello again.

I fixed it! I installed scummvm-0.8.0-PPC200 and then I re-copied the game to my SD-card and VOILA! I CAN TALK TO PIRATES! ;)

Thanks for the help frank_m24!
