I can't escape out of Loom

I just recently installed the scummvm for iphone, and I'm running the CD version of Loom. Yet when I try to hold down one finger, and double tap with another finger, it doesn't escape. And I can't get out of the game and try another one.

I'm using iphone version 1.1.1

Just hit F5 and the menu should pop up
