He-List in Wiki

Post by joachimeberhard »

Dear ScummVM team!

To add some info to the list, I'd like to add that Backyard Basketball and Football 2002 are Win/Mac also.

Backyard Baseball for PS2 is double in the list. Is that on purpose?

Best regards

Thanks, fixed.

I'm curious either football2002 on Mac uses 138 smackers too?

my guess would be "138 .smk" files, so he could mean that those games wouldn't run under windows for lack of video support

PC version has them in DATA/endzones, DATA/fieldgoals in files *.da2. If those directories exist, open their files in any hex editor and tell me either they start with string "BIK".

Bink/Smacker is a proprietary video format by RAD Game Tools Inc., which is extremely difficult to RE mainly because of constant opposition from the company. So far they shut down any attempts to do that. Original Broken Sword cutscenes were in that format, so we had to recode them.

The "smackers" in the Mac-Version are 100% identical to the Windows version.
The md5s match, the filenames match, the directory substructure is exactly the same, ie 100% identical.

They start with BIK, if I open them in a Hex-Editor.

But somehow I don't see 138 smackers, but 137.

1 in DATA -> intro.da2
68 in DATA\endzones
68 in DATA\fieldgoals

It's exactly the same Win/Mac. (Except game files of course)

Best regards

The HE-List in the Wiki still states 138 smackers for Football2002, just as a reminder....

Thanks for a good reminder. I fixed it in CVS long time ago, but not on the Wiki. Fixed now.
