other ppl grow up, the lucasarts logo gets younger... maybe this goes along with their product line, replacing witty adventure games with stuff like "learn to spell with jar-jar"

I liked the end logo in DOTT best where golden tentacle takes over the logo

Since all they still do is Star Wars, they probably wanted a logo looking more similar to that Lucasfilm logo seen in the Star Wars Movies, I guess.

Then they could just as well have gone back to the original LucasFilm Games logo, replacing Film with Arts. That logo was, at the time, pretty much a straight copy of the LucasFilm logo (complete with twinkling stars).

Yeah, I have to say I prefer the old (DOTT-era) LucasArts logo as well. I used to buy every LA game religiously, and I always looked forward to see what they would do with the LA logo. I especially liked in Rebel Assault at the end how the logo guy would "pop" the Death Star like a balloon, then it would fly around crazy for a few seconds, and then drape down over the logo, which would then make the R2 scream sound. =)

Good times, good times....

yeah, the rebel assault logo rocked

I also remember that N64 game (I think it was Rogue Squadron) where the xwings flew over a giant landscape which turned out to be a huge logo

Well, at least they've still got the gold guy. I was worried when I saw "new logo" that it'd be ditched.

They complain "Flash Player 6 required.", although I got 8.
Let me guess: The reincarnation of LA is IE-only?!

EDIT: It really is... WTF?!? :?:

Weird. I've got FF 1.5, too, and Flash Player 8 (which works on other sites). :(

No, I meant IE-only, as my IE displays it correctly.

BTW: FF 1.0.7 on Gentoo Linux displays it also correctly. Mozilla 1.7.12 also.

EDIT: What's the problem with Flash under Linux for you?

The games list is such a dissappointing sight:

Mercenaries
Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront II
Star Wars Empire At War
Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided
Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed
Star Wars Galaxies: Episode III Rage of the Wookiees
Star Wars Galaxies: Trials of Obi-Wan
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Star Wars Republic Commando
Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith
CLASSICS

Though I noted there is going to be a new Indiana Jones release at some point in 2006-7.

Hmph.
