Mac OS X Scummvm + Broken Sword

Post by GriffNorris »

I have read that you can play Broken Sword (1 + 2) on the Mac version of SCUMMVM, and I know which files I need (thanks to the very useful documentation bit.

My question is this: If I bought this double pack: http://www.mastertronic.com/productSold ... tLabelID=1

would that work for mac as well, as the files would still be there, or are they compiled in some weird way that makes them PC only or what?

I ask this as I'd love to play Broken Sword again, but my PSone game broke a few years ago and I don't want to buy another game that won't work with my computer. My parents would never let me hear the end of it.

Thanks.

Griff

P.S. Have a nice day.

The PC version of Broken Sword (1 and 2) should work just fine on Mac OS X with the help of ScummVM.

if that's the version which comes in a windows installer you'll have to install it first:

also, you'll probably have to download the cutscenes in .DXA format from the ScummVM website to get video

Right, I can get the cutscenes, no problem there. xD

Thanks for the link, that helped a lot.

I should be able to install it using Virtual PC and move the files around. Probably safe to make a backup of the files I need.

Thanks to both of you, particularly clem, as you've answered every question I've posted on these forums :D

Thanks so much, now I just have to convince my parents that they're worth buying, or to convince them to buy it for me :D

Have a great day you lot :)
