Problem with digmusic.bun v0.8 PSP FW2.0

Post by DoeNutz »

Hi all,

I've been enjoying ScummVM PSP v0.8.0 for some time now. The only remaining problem I have with it is that I can't seem to run The Dig on it properly.

Whenever I load a save game, or start a new one and skip through the opening sequence, the game crashes on me and I see a warning on the console that digmusic.bun couldn't be opened. Since I have limited space on my memstick I have never used digmusic.bun in the previous versions of scummvm for PSP and it has never been a problem before. But now, I can't seem to get anywhere without the game crashing with the digmusic.bun error. I've already tried disabling the sound in the scummvm setup and in the game properties, but have not succeeded in keeping the error away.

Any ideas?

I don't think you can play the game without it.
Have you tried compressing both the music, speech and cutscenes to reduce the size?

That would've been my next question, whether or not Scummvm for PSP was compatible with compressed bun files. I'll give it a try, thanks for the quick reply :)
