ScummVM on Windows CE 3.0 for Cassiopeia E-115

Post by emendozadesigns »

Hello, I have just visited this Scumm project pages after my sister istalled and played it on a Nintendo DS

Now I´m triying to run ScummVM on my PocketPc and I can´t !!

Well its frustrating because I´m a fan of LucasArts Old School games!

My Ppc is a Casio Cassiopeia e-115 runing Windows CE 3.0 (is it PocketPc 2000?)

I downloaded the files for Ppc in downloads page but I cant install do a thing, in XP it sais it is not compatible, and in pocket PC said something similar. I´m sure I am doing something wrong but dunno what.

Please Help! :O

Ok, I downloaded the GAPI in my PPC´s windows directory. (its a gx.dll and a gx.lib Am I right?) as the readme said.

But it does not work either.

Now, Must I copy the scummvm.exe to the pocketpc? or must I install it from my PC?

When I tap the exe file in the cassiopeia it sais "This is not a Windows CE compatible application" or something like that.

... I look forward for your replies

The Casio Cassiopeia E-115 has a MIPS CPU. The current releases of PocketScumm only work on ARM based CPUs. Sorry.

You might be able to dig up an old version that works from Arismes site...

The site is here:
http://arisme.free.fr/
but there is only a older version 0.7.1 for MIPS.

Have a look for the old 0.7.1 README stored in subversion.
Section "3.0) Supported Games" should answer your question ;)
