Problems saving on Supercard CF

Post by Icharius »

I can't seem to save at all, I have tried Monkey Island 2 and Day of the Tentacle.

Here is exactly what I did:
1. Use winrar to store them in a .zip file. (no compression)
2. Renamed the zip file to scummdata-a
3. Ran builddata-a.exe
4. Renamed the file it created to scummvm.nds
5. Moved scummvm.nds to the root of my CF memory card

It seems that the scummvm.ini file disappears every time I quit the game. Even if I just shut down the DS or press quit from the scummvm menu.

I tried using the SRAM save method by creating the scummvm.ini on the root of my CF card and put
[ds]
forcesramsave=true
in it. The file had disappeared the next time I looked at the files in my CF card on my PC.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm using the newest version, v0.9.1.

You haven't read the instructions. They can be found here: http://scummvm.drunkencoders.com/#supercard

Hint: There's no mention of any Zip file.

To avoid files disappearing from your CF card, you need to eject it from your PC before taking the card out of the reader.
