Fullscreen - Out of Range?

I'm running ScummVM 0.9.0 on Ubuntu Edgy, with a 19" widescreen ViewSonic monitor at 1440x900. When I try to run in fullscreen mode, my monitor always goes black and displays an "Out of Range, H Frequency 86 kHz, V Frequency 85 Hz" error. Is there something I can do, either in Scumm itself or in my xorg setup, to correct this?

Sounds like a misconfigured xorg.conf and your monitor can't do 85Hz at the resolution specified. Try and set the maximum vertical refresh in your xorg.conf to 60Hz which is always a safe bet.
