Joystick support for Dual pads in one USB cable

Post by spiffyguy »

Hey guys, I am using a dual gamepad with my linux box running fedora core 5. I purchased it from here...

http://www.outletpc.com/c6496.html

Anyways, it works great out of the box with no drivers (cause there are none) with zsnes and fce-ultra, etc. But when I try to use it with ScummVM it won't work.

When looking at the KDE Control Center, it detects 10 axis and 20 buttons. By default, [Axis 1] is always assumed as the the x axis and [axis 2] is always assumed as the y axis. But the Directional pad for the first controller are the axis's [3] & [4] And the D-Pad axis's for the second controller are numbers [7] & [8].

I was just curious if there is a "calibration" or "set-up" tool for scummvm so that I can tell it which axis to use for the cursor on this special gamepad.

Otherwise, scummvm does the same as the KDE Control Center and assumes the wrong axis.

Just for FYI, on a normal (1 pad for 1 usb) gamepad scummvm works great for me so this isn't a bug, just a feature request.
