0.9.0 

Hi,

just to let you know that there is 0.9.0 version on my port page
http://fanoush.webpark.cz/maemo/#scummvm but only for IT2006. I don't have development environment for older system anymore so there won't be any package updates for IT2005. IT2006 should be out any day now and current beta is quite usable.

BTW is there some active developer mailing list? The one linked from contacts on front page seems to be dead (SF error - forum not found). I wonder how the official port for N770 goes and if there is some progress on http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Small_Devices_Backend idea.

Did you try to click on the "Scummvm-devel Archives" link?
Similar error like I already mentioned.
How can list which is not dead have no archives? This is very unusual and not very practical.

There is something strange on SF, when navigating from frontpage like I described it goes to http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=37116 and few minutes ago I've seen in the list something like
"scummvm-devel (list was not yet archived)"
now I see (for the first time) "scummvm-devel Archives 3073 messages" but the archive doesn't work (sourceforge error Forum not found).

I tried this few times in last month and always got some error. That's why I thought the list is dead.

EDIT: just googled for the archive and found some random one here http://www.nabble.com/ScummVM-f4532.html so the list is indeed not dead Smile

sf.net just seems to have problems again - must be "that time of the month", heh

However, between the breaking mailing lists, the sluggishly uppdating download mirrors and the occasionally non-functional CVS/SVN it works surprisingly well Smile

I was just thinking:
Would it be possible/better to compile this port with plugins enabled. I'd think that would save some RAM especially for some of the newer games (or isn't that a problem).

Yes maybe it is a good idea. So far I had no troubles with 'static' version so there was no need to try this. In theory on linux the unused parts of binary shouldn't be even paged in to memory or can be flushed out if memory is short so I'm not sure plugins would help too much. And at least in IT2005 version I used different c++ compiler with statically linked c++ runtime which would really not work with dynamically loaded modules. In IT2006 it should work as the default compiler is good but still I had no time and reason to try it.
