Escape from MI on Mac

Hello you beautiful people,

need your help with a problem: I use Mac and I am trying to get Escape from Monkey Island to run on my Macbook. Bought the game on GOG, downloaded the setup.exe and update file (.bin) as well as Porting Kit. I got it to work on the first day (don't ask me how!) but since it says either that it can't find monkey4.exe or that the update is required which I cannot run.

Downloaded ScummVM but I can't add any of the files to it for it to run on my Mac. Does anybody know how I can get Monkey Island 4 to run on my Macbook? Doesn't have to be via ScummVM. Thx.

Running it without ScummVM might be difficult, you could try to run it with WINE, but I don't know how well this works on M1 devices.

The stable version of ScummVM doesn't include Monkey Island 4 yet because it is not considered to be fully stable. However, you can run it with the latest development versions available here: https://buildbot.scummvm.org/#/dailybuilds

The DREAMM emulator does support MacOS but since I'm not a Mac user I don't know if this means it would run on the MacBook.
