The lost mind of dr brain And Time warp of dr brain

Post by koko200 »

I wonder What kind of an engine do those games use ?

Can it be sierra sci ? (although it doesn't look so).

or maybe partially sci or another engine combined.

In The lost mind of dr brain most of the game's file are dll files (apart from the installer and demos included)

is it possible to store the game's resources in dll files?
(or maybe they just renamed their extension to dll).

The time warp of dr brain is runnable on 64 bit systems natively ( but not installable so you'll have to do it manually in order to be able to save) and its files are not mostly dll (most of them end with .grp or something like that).
Anyway my buttom line is : Is it possible that one of those games (or maybe both) will be supported by scummvm sometime in the future?
Those games are funny and challenging and it's too bad that it's an hassle to run them on modern systems.

(I recommend installing windows 3.1 on dosbox as it will run both of them but it's an hassle to config it to run
properly within dosbox).

They are not SCI games, at least according to our wiki, but I am not familiar with those games myself and don't know what engine they are using.
