Err, that link offers the full game in french and english...you shouldn't post such pirate sites here.

Excuse me ! m_kiewitz ask me a link to found the French Patch. I does'nt check legality of this site.

I found the origin of this patch on this other forum which is not a pirate site but a site about translate game.
http://romhack.org/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=3220

and this other site (a game test site) speak about the french patch.

So, the first link shows that it is indeed a fan-made translation to the game.

You could add a feature request here.

I can see that there's already a FR in for the italian fan translation, so the chances to get it supported are on par, i'd think Smile

Hi.

Before you can add a 'Future Request' or 'Report a Bug', you have to register at Sourceforge.net.

Can you please try to contact hrvg on that one forum?

I wonder why the patch was not published in that thread unless I missed it somehow. I only see fichiers.rar on page 2. It would really be nice to have it packaged properly (like not Windows-exclusive). Maybe we could even host such a patch.

We would have to get all the translated parts from the holmes executeable anyway and if we got into contact with hrvg, he could maybe even improve the translation, because in ScummVM there is no restriction on how to create certain sentences.

Hi,
My English is bad, sorry.
The translation was made in 2010.

Or is it maybe a fan-made patch to translate Serrated Scalpel to French?

Yes. Dorian Gray created the tools. And I translated (My first translation Very Happy ).

I had several problems:
1) 'Fonts' (bug, if accented letters)./Solution: I modified 2 'Fonts'. It's gold. 1 'font' is not modified, because the game crashes".
2) Objects disappear from the game. If object is translated. For example : rag--->loque/Solution: I modified RES08.RRM file (unless I am mistaken).
Large key---->clé: I modified RES03.RRM file (unless I am mistaken).
Necklace--->bracelet: I modified RES15.RRM file (unless I am mistaken).
3) The dialogues are always in English in 3 animations of the game./No solution.
And other little problems....

Regards.

We've released version 1.8.0 now. Thanks to all for testing!

Of course testing and bug reports are still very welcome, even after the release :-)

There actually is an official game version of Serrated Scalpel translated to German. There is also a Spanish one.

The answer to this question (even for a few files and not the full game) is no.
Please see Forum Rules #0.
