Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Post by yeah yeah »

Downloaded the daily build today on 28 November. Installed the SCI plug-in as well. Playing Quest for Glory 1, and noticed two things:

1. When creating a character, and you attempt to name him, they keyboard doesn't display. I thought there was a shortcut to display they keyboard. Can't remember.

2. On the Note 3, clicking the S-Pen button opens up the Popup menu. Doing that in-game causes the menu to appear.

1. Hold Menu Button for more than half a second. See:

2. Not sure what you mean by Popup menu here. Again, see the control notes and ensure that this is not just a misunderstanding of the controls please...

The Note 3 has a feature, when you click the S Pen button, a popup menu appears that shows S Pen options. Also, when holding the Menu button, it also enables a Samsung S Finder feature. Don't think it can be disabled. It does enable the keyboard, but depending how long you hold the button, it will take you to the S Finder screen.

Not sure we will be able to deal with whatever Samsung have done with the user interface. You may want to check the Settings->Accessibility and Display, Gestures and any other likely options for any way to disable or modify these behaviours to prevent them conflicting.

Cirno: Thank you for that information! I'm sure it will help "yeah yeah" and other Samsung Android device users.
