SCUMMVM not working on LG GT540 2.1

I was just wondering if there has been any more progress on fixing the issue causing SCUMMVM to just shut down when its finished loading on the GT540. The version on the Android Market still doesn't work, but I wondered if anyone had found a workaround or anything.

I've read these two topics, but with them being fairly old I thought someone could have made some progress since:
