Nokia 6280

Hi I've just got a new nokia 6280 which I believe to be running the symbian platform but I cannot get it to install any versions of scumm, keeps saying it can't install .sis files??
Should I ssend it back an get a different phone model or is there a version that will support it??

Nokia 6280 doesn't seem to be listed there, are you sure that is symbian based?

Hi! If you check Nokias homepage you can see that its not Symbian based, so big screen does n't mean that its Symbian based. So I guess all it can do is to run midledts. Good luck with that.

i checked nokia homepage too and the 6280 uses a Symbian S40v.3 - will there be updates to scummvm to make it run on that system or is there a way to get scummvm run anyway?

Nokia has different flavours of OSes, all named S something. S does not stand for Symbian. S40 is based on Nokias own proprietry mobile OS and is developed in Germany. S60,S80,S90(7710) is the OSes based on Symbian.

There are three different versions of S60. S60 V1 (Based on Symbian OS 6.1), S60 V2 (Based on Symbian OS 7.0S and 8.1a depending on phone) and S60 V3 (Based on Symbian OS 9.1).

So .. S40 is out of the question
