Copy Protection on Simon The Sorcerer

Post by halljames »

On the Pocket PC version, is there a way to skip the copy protection on Simon The Sorcerer 1. I have the manual, but because I like to play Scummvm on my pocket pc when I am on the go, I can't always have my manual with me. Any ideas? I believe copy protection is disabled by default on the PC version. What is the crack with the pocket pc version.

Kirben mentions here that:
Kirben wrote: The copy protection for a game is only disabled in ScummVM, if a game was re-released without the copy protection. The floppy versions of Simon the Sorcerer 1 & 2 were never re-released with the copy protection disabled.
It seems there is no copy protection in the cd version though, as mentioned later in the thread.
