Get Ready for Testing!

Testing is now over, thanks to all who helped out!

The ScummVM team is announcing another round of release testing in preparation for our next release: 1.3.0!

Since our last release, we've been very busy working on adding support for more of your favorite games. Backyard Baseball. Backyard Baseball 2001, Hugo's House of Horrors, Hugo 2: Whodunit?, Hugo 3: Jungle of Doom, Playtoons: Bambou le Sauveur de la Jungle, Toonstruck, and Urban Runner are all ready for our loyal fans to play through to their hearts' content. Several Living Books games are also supported now: Aesop's Fables: The Tortoise and the Hare, Arthur's Birthday (v1), Arthur's Teacher Trouble, Dr. Seuss's ABC, Green Eggs and Ham, Harry and the Haunted House, Just Grandma and Me (v1), Little Monster at School, Ruff's Bone, Sheila Rae, the Brave, Stellaluna, The Berenstain Bears Get in a Fight, The Berenstain Bears in the Dark, The New Kid on the Block. You can see more info on the bugs we fixed and the features we added over here.

Like with our last release testing, not all games will be tested; only games that have had significant changes to their codebase since the last release are up for testing. As usual, the list of games to be tested is on the wiki.

Those games aren't going to test themselves! Download a daily build and report any bugs you find to the bug tracker. If you complete a game, please let us know on the forums so we can throw the results up on the wiki page. Be sure to provide the version, language, and platform of your game when reporting a completion. Any other questions? Go check out the release testing guidelines.

When reporting whether a game is completable or not, please use this format to make it easier for us to add it to the wiki page.

Game: Game name, as reported by ScummVM
Game Version: Game version, as reported by ScummVM; EGA or VGA if applicable
ScummVM Version: ScummVM version, as reported by ScummVM (ie. "1.3.0git4514-g489d4d6"); *****MUST INCLUDE THE FULL REVISION*****
Operating System: Operating system (version and 32-bit vs. 64-bit if applicable)

Problems:

List any problems you have found here (or "None" if everything works perfectly).

Sorry, 1.3.0git4538. Remembered to mention it in the bug-report at least...

Edit: Or do you need the other characters as well? 4538-gdda6df6 in that case.

In fact the "other" characters give the real commit identifier. AFAIK the first number should be the commits since the last tag, then "-g" indicates it's git, followed by the first characters of the commit hash. So please always tell us the full version string.

Just so you know, the current daily build for Windows does not have a commit identifier, nor does one built from the SVN link. Just 1.3.0git.

Only the buildbot version has it included.

I feel really lost when filling this one. I cant seem to be able to find which ScummVM git version I have, since all it shows is just the date and time of (what I believe to be the) when it was compiled.

Game: Jones In The Fast Lane
Game Version: cd/dos/english
ScummVM Version: 1.3.0git (Apr 23 2011 23:37:19)
Operating System: WinXP, SP3

Completable. No problems found.

Hoyle official book of games Volume i

ScummVM: 1.3.0git apr 22 2011 16:31:42
OS: Win7 64 bits
Version: Amiga/English

Played all games without any problem.

Several sound issues but the sound is not working 100% on Amiga games so I didn't log any bugs.

Cheers,
René

@Truus999, EddyDrama, Scarlatti: Thanks for testing those games.

Unfortunately, each of you tested in a build that doesn't report the git revision. Not having the git revision is quite a PITA.

EDIT: All Win32 daily builds should have the full revision in them now.

Leisure suit larry in the land of the lounge lizzards AGI

ScummVM: 1.3.0git apr 24 2011 23:53:17
OS: Win7 64 bits
Version: 1.00 DOS/English AGI

No problems, save & restore worked fine.

@clone2727: Daily build win32 didn't give me a version number or do I have to wait till a newer version is built?

Cheers,
René
