All the sound in this game is stored as one long audio track on the CD. ScummVM either needs to play the sound from the CD, or from a compressed audio file (MP3, Ogg Vorbis or FLAC) as described in the README file.

Put your CD in the first drive and run the game via ScummVM.

Problem: it will probably crash very soon under Windows (bug when switching from the audio track to the data track).

Solution: rip the audio track as MP3 or OGG or FLAC, name the file track1.mp3 or track1.ogg or track1.flac, put the file in your Loom directory, run ScummVM.

I've got a problem with Loom, too.
So this is what happens - when I run ScummVM and choose direcotory "In" and there is a working Loom with just music.
If i choose the "data" directory (which was created when i've runned the ASSEMBLE.bat file) and there is Loom on 256 colours more beautiful but there's absolutely no sound.

I've checked that there's an audio file audio.mp3(50MB) which after the assembling became track.wav(551MB) and even played it with Winamp and there were many quotes from the game.

Can you help me make Loom 256 colours or the old-looking Loom be with voices?

You don't need to run any other program. You can play from the CD direct, or copy the needed files and extract the music from the CD.
