Yeah, an experimental feature to add smooth scrolling to the older SCUMM games would be really neat. I hope someone will consider adding support for it. :D

Here is how it looks like on my real Amiga. Started the game on NTSC 60hz screenmode so that I can capture it at 60hz using my Note4 phone. It's great that now Youtube supports 50hz and 60hz (too bad my phone only records at 60hz and not 50hz)

And below is how it scrolls on PC and ScummVM: (starts at 10:08)

Just a reminder that I posted a video of how smooth scrolling looks on the Amiga some years ago. Still wishing that this gets added to ScummVM.

The game is Indiana Jones 4 - Fate Of Atlantis.

During last year, developer athrxx implemented Smooth scrolling option for FM-Towns versions of SCUMM games (Loom, Zak Mc Kraken and MI 2 are mentioned explicitly). All those changes are part of ScummVM's official stable releases 2.5.0 and 2.5.1 (and of current development 2.6.0git dailies)

Maybe athrxx could provide some insight on how easy or challenging it would be to do this for Amiga versions as well.

I can agree - FM-Towns smooth scrolling is great. And I miss them for AMIGA Games, too.
For e. g. Monkey Island II is smooth scrolling on Original Platform. Any chance to get this feature?

regards, Andy
