Isn't it time to fix the touchscreen mode in the settings?
I guess the creators never really expected the Android version to take off, but the option to control the touchscreen mode has always been in the MIDI settings mislabled as "Mixed AdLib/MIDI mode." Given how advanced the Android port has become (mixed mode may well become a real thing since modern Android devices are more than powerful enough to do all this stuff) and how viable of a platform Android is for ScummVM usage (many adventure games play better on an Android tablet with the touchscreen mode -- eg that option turned on -- than they ever did on a PC with a mouse) isn't it time for this to no longer be a "hidden option" but visibly obvious to all users? Not everyone downloads development versions and reads the readme files and I don't think the Google Play Store version even mentions this in any way, so most people using ScummVM on Android likely don't even know this option exists. Still, after all this time... The Android platform release is no longer some super minimal side release that's hardly even used on devices that aren't very good for such games.

menu button too
Also, since Android Marshmellow (6) the previous menu button has changed to a task-manager/switch task button, so you can't use that anymore to open the ScummVM menu.
Instead you have to press and hold the back-button while making a selection.
Since you're holding the back button, making a selection automatically means you go back a screen, unless you time it just right.

I agree. It's a nasty hack.
The Android port should definitively receive more attention.

Currently we have no full-blown Android porter at all for several years, only packager.
Thus, we are very limited with any functional enhancements.

damn... weird, as Android is possibly the most widespread platform out there
it's like VICE having no real dev for... Windows FFS!
(so they only build snapshots)
damn... return of 1990ies the bad way?
