Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: Compressed Game-Data-Files?

Post by a.borque »

Hello!
Thanks for supporting Lost-files-games.
As far as I can remember the setup of "The serrated scalpel" offered two options of installation, one with compressed and one with expanded game-data-files.
Unfortunately I am unable to recover all bits from my old 5,25"-FDDs, so I only have one installation of "The serrated scalpel" left in an old but readable backup from a Win98-machine from around 2000. But these files are the compressed installation AFAIR.
So my question is: can I use these compressed files to play? If not: is there perhaps a ScummVM-Tool (like the ones used to compress files for LucasArts games) to change the compression?
Thanks

The compressed files from the CD version I have seem to work, at least, and I was under the impression that the CD and floppy version are identical.
