ScummVM just crashes on 5S with 7.04

Post by viriiguy »

Hello,

I have loaded the latest development version of ScummVM onto my iPhone 5S. However, when I open it, it shows the loading screen, then crashes right away.

Any thoughts? Does this work on the 5S for anyone else?

Thanks for the hard work!

It never fails :D
I looked for 3 hours yesterday and did not find a solution.
Today, as soon as I post this topic, I opened another and POOF! There it was!

I would post the link, but the forum seems to think a link to itself is spam......

Thank you all!

Usually in that case you have to set the permissions of the files correct.

Which files? I have set Scummvm to read, write, execute for USER, GROUP and WORLD. Still crashes.

If you want to help improve this tedious procedure you could try the ScummVM build from here and see whether that works for you without any crashes on startup. (This does not feature a special scummvm-iph5 binary but *should* still work). However, please note that the build supplied there is solely for testing purposes and only includes the SCUMM engine (and there no SCUMM HE or SCUMM v7/v8 support).
