Problem with menu and saving
The F5 menu doesn't load. When I press F5 nothing happens, but when I press Ctrl +F5 the menu comes up, but I can press the save button. I've tried saving using the hot-key and I get a message that a file was saved, but I can't access any file (can't press the "Load" section").
It happened only in Simon The Sorcerer so far. Tried both CD and Floppy editions. With a couple of other games I didn't have this problem.

Update: tried with a couple more games and it was the same problem.

You can't save/load from the ScummVM in-game menu in all games. AGOS games, like Simon the Sorcerer handle saving/loading via game scripts, thus you can't use the ScummVM menu for this functionality in Simon

I noticed that the Engine tab in the Edit Game menu was removed in the latest snapshot. Was it just to buggy to leave in right now?

Where has it been removed? It still shows for me for games, which actually have support for engine specific options.
It would be helpful, when you could give some examples for which games it suddenly went missing.
EDIT: And what do you mean by "too buggy"? Did you encounter bugs with it?

It must have been fixed since the last snapshot I tried a couple days ago. The Engine tab wasn't coming up for any games at all for me.
And by buggy I meant that some of the features in the Engine tab for SCI games didn't work at all. Unchecking "prefer digital sound effects" does nothing for SQ3 or SQ4 along with a handful of other SCI games, for instance.

It might have been that you opened a game entry, which hadn't been started/added since the introduction, but before.

I don't think so, because on a previous snapshot the engine tab was appearing. I don't know.
Either way, the "prefer digital sounds" option still doesn't work. Oh well.

It's best to file a bug report about that.
