Music in Monkey Island 1

I started playing MI1 the other day, and I was wondering: does the game have music throughout it? I mean, most tracks usually stop after a while, and I didn't know if it's normal for the game or if there was something wrong. No problem with sound FX.

Thnx for the help!

As far as I know, Monkey Island 2 was the first LucasArts adventure game to have non-stop (or nearly so) music. Earlier ones only played music occasionally.

If you're playing the CD version, the music will stop, but then start up again (depending on the area you're in). For instance, the Scumm Bar will loop its music. But being redbook audio, will not loop seamlessly. The disk version with MIDI music will, however. But yeah, there is not near as much music in MI1 as there is in MI2 (pretty much every screen has music).

Thnx for the help. It's a shame the game doesn't have more music. Already finished it Smile

I think the fact that MI2 has music in nearly every scene is the reason why it keeps sticking in my head and begging me to play it again Smile
