Why did they do this!!

Post by Sudds »

I got the Monkey Island Pack (123) and the text and audio is in spainish, i was ripping! (mad) when i put them going and found no english text or audio samples.
I had MI 1 but it would not run, so i swapped the files with the spainsh version, and got english text.
Then i swapped the mp3,s but when i did that it would just hang at lucasfilm
logo and would not load.
This is the same with BS 1, no english audio.

Where could a man find these english files (for monkey island and BS 1) so
i can relive the past and play these fantastic titles once again.

PSP VERSION 2.6 running with eloader 0.96 BIERE dALASCE.

Thanks for any help at all thats givin. :)

Unfortunately for you you have to buy true English version. No other options, as it breaks our Forum Rule #0. From the other hand it will not be technically possible to exchange data files between two different localizations.

maybe if we asked Revolution nicely they'd allow distribution of localized speech? (since they already agreed to the reencoded-video deal) - afaik BS1 has text in all languages in the datafiles, so theoretically exchanging just the audio could work

as far as I remember the floppy version has adlib music and the CD version has CD audio tracks

CD version includes English speech (pretty funny British accent for a game set in Australia)
