As Collector mentioned, AGI and SCI are two completely different engines. There are some small similarities in parts of the drawing code, but SCI is far more complex and advanced than AGI. Even the graphics output was much different in KQ4: the SCI version had more details in each scene, the protagonist (ego) didn't look like a stick figure (like it did in AGI)
