Need help to get this to work on samsung galaxy s

Hi, i have android 2.2, the games i need copied to my phone and installed the recommended scumm vm, however when i try to add a game it just say that it cant find any games in the folder even though i know they are there ;/ we tested it on my brothers desire and it worked. I would really appreciate some help, i'm in the army and would love to play some fun games on my free time:)

Possibilities:
- copied an archive but have not extracted that archive
- forgot to install the required plugins from the market
- selected the wrong folder (try the game folder, not a folder containing folders with games)
