Save no acive. Why?

Post by Mistrat »

Save not active in games:
Gobliiins
Gobliins 2
Goblins 3

scummvm-1.0.0rc1-s60-v3.sis

Why save and load not active in game menu on key 0.
Recording does not work. We have to start the game again.
Save path in option menu: C: \ Data \ ScummVM \ Savegames.
Save not support?

If memory serves me there's no saving at all in Gobliiins. Instead, you get a code after solving a screen. For the other two games, I'm told there are technical reasons that make it next to impossible to implement saving through ScummVM's save/load menu (I assume that's the one you're talking about), so you have to use the game's own.

But I'm not sure how this affects the SymbianOS Port, since I've only run ScummVM on an ordinary computer myself.

Yes, like eriktorbjorn said, in Gobliins 2 and Goblins 3, you can only save through the game's menu (accessible by moving your mouse to the upper screen border).

Unfortunately, the engine behind Coktel Vision games implements most of the saving in the game scripts, making it virtually impossible to access saving and loading functions from the "outside", like in ScummVM's menu.
