How do I make .SOU to .SO3??????

Post by Maveric »

Can somebody tell me in detail how to compress my monster.sou to .so3?

I have installed the scumm tools and extracted the lame files in the same folder. But I can't seem to run any of the programs.

I draged my monster.sou to the lame.exe file (I think) and I got a file called monster.sou.mp3 that was about 10% of the monster.sou file.

Will that .mp3 extension work or do I need to do something else?

Well you USE the scucmmtools which in turn will call lame to encode the sound. you will end up with a monster.so3 file which you can use.
So extract monster.sou and you will get all the default options

Please check out the Help and support section of this forum for this kind of information. It is a game data file present in some scumm games.

check http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/s ... &view=auto (the readme with the tools)

from there you see the command you should should try in a command prompt (Start Menu>Execute, enter 'cmd', then go to dir with scummvm tools) and try `compress_scumm_sou -h`
