ScummVM does not find games / finds game but crashes

Hi all,

I just installed scummvm to my supercard lite (slot-1) and encountered some problems with it - here is what I did

I copied the modified version with support for the RAM expansion (I got EZ) - scummVM recognises the RAM and supercard on first boot and I can add games from the SD (DOTT, Samnmax, Monkey Island 1). However, when I try starting any of these games the screen just goes black and nothing happens.

So I tried scummvm without EZ RAM support - first I used the original from the page without patching it - it direclty recognised the supercard out of the box and I was able to browse the directories on the SD - but when I selected a directory the software does not find the game (that was previously found by the modified version).

I also tried using a patched version (DLDI tool successful) - but that resulted in the same problem.

I updated moonshell to 2.01 (from 1.71 I guess) and it still does not work with any game.

I would be most thankfull for any hint what I need to do to get the games running Smile

Best wishes,
japande

are you sure you have all required data files in the directory?

are you running the right build for the right game? the ram expansion is the "J" build which only supports The Dig and Full Throttle.

are you sure your audio is encoded correctly?

Hi,

thanks for the quick help.

I incorrectly used the wrong build - using the "A" build for the games solved my problem - thanks a lot!

Best wishes,
japande
