WINCE on Xperia X1

Post by aquo »

Hello all,

I am getting an error and I've been trying to search on both the forum and the tracker, but with no success. Basically, I was running Broken Sword 1 / Broken Sword 2, and I get the following in the log:

Assertion failed numBits >= 4 && numBits <=32
(../../../sound/flac.cpp, 435)!

I'm not sure what I need to do in order to get this working, I tried the same set of game files on a pc and the game runs fine, just can't run it on my phone.

Any help is appreciated! :)

I don't know what causes the error, but I thought I'd mention that the last time I checked, compressing the Broken Sword 2 data files as FLAC was pretty silly. The resulting files were actually larger than the original ones.

I thought using the files downloaded here would be best is it not? :)

Ah, maybe the cutscene pack uses FLAC audio. I forgot about that. I was thinking only of the other audio files.

Probably easiest is to download the "Ogg addon" from the downloads page, and remove the FLAC files.

Oh, and of course file a bug report on the tracker for this issue. :)

yep I got the Ogg instead, followed joostp's instruction, and now both game works like a charm :)

I will log a bug tracker for this.

Thanks!
