WVGA Stylus offset (not the landscape-bug) and MI3 bindings

Post by Syc »

Hi, I'm new to this forums, I've used ScummVM for a long time, but never on a WinCE device.

I've been snooking around the forums, and haven't found a solution to my problems.

My phone is a HTC Touch HD, with WVGA resoultion (480x800). I use WM 6.1 (self-built rom), and ScummVM 0.12.0.

Got it up and running, landscape mode and looking fine. Only thing that's bothering me (it's the same in MI2) is that the pointer is a just a little bit off. When i click the dialogue-text in MI2, it hits the selection below.

I've tried calibrating it as carefully i could, but still it's off. It's really annoying to miss the dialogue-selection all the time, and small objects is tricky..

Oh, and in Monkey Island 3, what buttons should i assign to what to get the best experience? I got:

Back button
Vol-up
Vol-down

Volume-buttons is on the bottom, so they're great for using while holding the stylus. Can't use the stylus while pressing the back-button, cause I'm right-handed.

What's needed for an optimal experience troughout the game?

Thanks in advance!

Mvh.
