Floyd on PSP?

Post by Setchan »

I have try to play the Game Floyd-The Feeble Files on the PSP but it doesnt work. I think its because there are video files that the psp doesnt support.

For Win XP there is a method to change the video-files to play it with scummvm.
Is there any chance to change the files for playing the game on the psp?

PS: Please, forgives my bad English. I'm a very tired german boy....

Just convert them in the same way as for Windows and copy the converted videos onto the PSP.

I've used the same converted video for both Windows and PSP which was dxa files for the video with ogg's for the sound. As far as I recall, I just used the scummvm tools with default settings to do the conversion.

If you have the videos in a different folder to the rest of the game that might cause a problem on PSP. I've seen this with Curse of Monkey Island at any rate. Failing that I'm out of ideas.

Which build did you try it with?

0.12.0 stable or 0.13.0 SVN?

I'd suggest you trying it on 0.12.0, but that's just my wild shot.

@pix2: thx for the tipps. I will check and try it as soon as possible :)
The movie-files are really in a different folder

Edit: i've checked my files and they are in the same format you have.

@Jinx1337: I used version 0.12.0. thats the newest version i've found. :?
Do you mean that i need an other version?

No, 0.12.0 would be the one I'd recommend if any unnatural issues occurred.

0.13.0 is the subversion build (think of it as a beta and don't forget to check the very thread about it in this forum's section; it supports Discworld 1, 7th Guest and implements pix's Kyrandia music hacks).

As for the Floyd Files itself... Weird. Sorrry, but I'm afraid that I can't really help you with this, as I have never checked the game out on the PSP.

I do remember however, that a friend of mine did several months ago and it worked just fine (or so he claimed, if my memory serves me right).
