MI1 with amiga music

Post by adzmr2 »

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has manged to get the cd-rom version of Monkey Island 1 with the amiga music in mp3 format working correctly on the iphone. I can get the game to run just no music? Any ideas or am I being thick!?

can you get it to run with the "normal" music from the CD? (or was there an amiga cd monkey1 version?)

does your iphone scummvm version have mp3 support? ("about" dialog should list all supported formats)

Not wanting to bump this, just wanted to let you know that I had done exactly this. IMO the Amiga music sounds better than the CD version, but that's probably cos I'm a bit of an Amiga fanboy!

The Amiga version seems to have less music than the CD version, so you can either leave out the tracks or use the CD version in place of them.

You also have to cross reference the Amiga music with the CD music to find the same track, and then rename the Amiga tracks to the CD tracks e.g. track1.mp3, track2.mp3 etc.

What I did was to get both the CD and Amiga music, then used the list below to rename the tracks correctly. This list is for the CD music, so you have to find the equivalent Amiga track and use that instead.

08 -> Track1.mp3
10 -> Track2.mp3
05 -> Track3.mp3
17 -> Track4.mp3
07 -> Track5.mp3
02 -> Track6.mp3
09 -> Track7.mp3
03 -> Track8.mp3
06 -> Track9.mp3
04 -> Track10.mp3
12 -> Track11.mp3
16 -> Track12.mp3
16 -> Track13.mp3
14 -> Track14.mp3
13 -> Track15.mp3
18 -> Track16.mp3
01 -> Track17.mp3
11 -> Track18.mp3
19 -> Track19.mp3
20 -> Track20.mp3
15 -> Track21.mp3
21 -> Track22.mp3
23 -> Track23.mp3
22 -> Track24.mp3

The numbers refer to the tracks on this site;

http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/mi1.htm (scroll to the bottom of that page for the Amiga tracks)

Hope that helps.
