COMI doesn´t work with new version and yes with 20071114

Post by R91 »

Since the version 20071118 until the current 20071119_2329, COMI doesn´t works and it doesn´t plays the intro
With the 20071114 it play the intro

Here a capture of ScummVM´s console on COMI.

Image
I think that I have an error:

ERROR: Mod library compiled support needed!

This appear in the following versions of 20071114

I installed the version 20071114 and COMI intro plays fine (with sound).

But with the last version doesn´t play and it show me the console

PD:
ScummVM Version: 20071119_2329
iPod Touch Firmware: 1.1.2 (Language: Spanish)
COMI: Windows/Spanish/Ogg files

Looking at the other posts about this, it seems like the only factor that could be playing into it is your 1.1.2 firmware. If that is, in fact, the problem, Vinterstum may not have any control over that -- the Toolchain compiled by the iPhone Dev Team would have to be updated, and then Vinterstum would have to compile against that.

I guess all we can do is cross our fingers for the dev team to update the toolchain and warn others from updating quite yet :-/

Hm... I checked the code, and that error message will appear if it finds MP3 sound files within the datafiles, and not Ogg files. You sure you don't have duplicate sets of files, or something like that?

Though, why it works (with sound) with that earlier version, is... weird. I haven't done anything that should affect that.

Ok, I will wait a solution ( I must play MI2 before COMI and more)

Thanks for the quickly answers

I also supposed that the problem are by the 1.1.2

I deleted all music files and I have the same error

While I will copy again the game from the original

I have reported the same error in this thread.
http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php ... &start=120

I have iphone 1.1.1, so I don't think it is the problem.

In the dig i had a lot of small mp3 files that I converted to ogg. But there are also two files of about 50Mb named DIGMUSIC.bun and DIGVOICE.bun.
I'm not sure but maybe there's some mp3-encoded info embedded into these files.

The Dig only uses MP3 if you've compressed the data files. The original ones on your CD - you do still have the orignal CD, right? - do not.

Same Screenshot!!

I get the same screenshot as the one pasted above when I try to play Curse of Monkey Island on my iPhone. I looked at the Wiki file and transferred what I believe are all the correct files (it was just over a gig is size, if that helps). But when I start it up I get the screeshot that was pasted earlier in this post. I noticed some replier stating the issue could be with firmware 1.1.2. I have firmware 1.1.3 beucause I just purchased my iPhone (Feb 2008) and assume that this is the issue. Another question i was wondering if I have JUST the ScummVM_SVM installed on my phone and I saw somwhere else that led me to believe that perhaps I should have both the ScummVM and ScummVM_SVM programs installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
