No sound at all with Day of the Tentacle, please help!

Post by yomer »

Ok, I read on another post that music was not working, etc. But I cannot even get speech. Just no sound at all. I have the version which has only three files: monster.sog, TENTACLE.000 and TENTACLE.001 (case sensitive). The PC port of ScummVM does run the game nicely with all sounds. What could be going on? BTW, the next thing I could try is putting monster.sog as MONSTER.SOG. Oh, and I also tried Full Throttle in the same cd and it works well, with sound (although video sequences are choppy, but that could be the DC). Thanks in advance.

Did you compress the datafiles using OGG? I don't think that's supported under the dreamcast port

Oh, I thought ogg was supported in DC too.

It was just a guess - you can see supported engines/sound formats on the "about" page of ScummVM

What I don't see is why doesn't the music work. Has anyone had this problem? The speech is perfect and in sync.

Is there a special build that plays music?
