Monkey Island 2 problems with v0.10.0

I ran into trouble with v0.9 (something to do with scrolling the screen) so I upgraded to v0.10. Kinda works but two problems so far:
1) It crashes the phone in OS5 Advanced Mode (which was on by default - perhaps from my v0.9 setup?) so I disabled this and now don't get any sound except an occasional grunt
2) It fails to load any saved games from v0.9

I've got a Treo 650 patched to v5.4.8 (release Treo650-1.20-ENA)

Any suggestions? The OS5 trick was trial and error (it really does reboot my phone) but perhaps something else fixes this? I'm worried that disabling this mode broke re-loading games...
