Broken Sword 1: Videos from the main site (MP2+OGG) not play

Well, Hi everyone!

My problem is this: I prepared a USB Drive for play Broken Sword 1. I followed every restrictions on creating the folders and downloaded the videos pack from the main site->download page (the MP2+OGG one, not the DXA). Because the game is in Spanish, I download the Add-on pack and overwrited the needed files (very few, just ogg ones). Also I compressed the speech and music audio using the tools from the main site (vbr b:64 B:128 q:0 V:0).

So the USB structure got this way:

\SWORD\CLUSTERS\COMPACTS.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\GENERAL.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\IRELAND.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\MAPS.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS1.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS2.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS3.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS4.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SCOTLAND.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SCRIPTS.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SPAIN.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SWORDRES.RIF
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SYRIA.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\TEXT.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\TRAIN.CLU

\SWORD\MUSIC\10M1.MP3
\SWORD\MUSIC\10M2.MP3
\SWORD\MUSIC\10M3.MP3
\SWORD\MUSIC\10M4.MP3... etc.

\SWORD\SPEECH\SPEECH1.CL3
\SWORD\SPEECH\SPEECH2.CL3

and the videos:

\SWORD\CANDLE.MP2
\SWORD\CANDLE.OGG
\SWORD\CANDLE.PAL
\SWORD\CREDITS.MP2
\SWORD\CREDITS.OGG
\SWORD\CREDITS.PAL... etc.

In ScummVM I choose the SWORD path.
The game plays perfect, music and speech included, except... you know... the videos donīt play at all. So I decided to test the same pendrive using ScummVM for Windows and it plays the videos perfectly. Then I thought that the problem was were the videos was. So I created a folder inside SWORD named VIDEO and moved all the video files inside. In ScummVM for PS2 I added the VIDEO folder to the Extra Path, but the problem keeps as before, the videos donīt play.

The USB Drive is like this:

\SWORD\CLUSTERS\COMPACTS.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\GENERAL.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\IRELAND.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\MAPS.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS1.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS2.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS3.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\PARIS4.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SCOTLAND.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SCRIPTS.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SPAIN.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SWORDRES.RIF
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\SYRIA.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\TEXT.CLU
\SWORD\CLUSTERS\TRAIN.CLU

\SWORD\MUSIC\10M1.MP3
\SWORD\MUSIC\10M2.MP3
\SWORD\MUSIC\10M3.MP3
\SWORD\MUSIC\10M4.MP3... etc.

\SWORD\SPEECH\SPEECH1.CL3
\SWORD\SPEECH\SPEECH2.CL3

and the videos:

\SWORD\VIDEO\CANDLE.MP2
\SWORD\VIDEO\CANDLE.OGG
\SWORD\VIDEO\CANDLE.PAL
\SWORD\VIDEO\CREDITS.MP2
\SWORD\VIDEO\CREDITS.OGG
\SWORD\VIDEO\CREDITS.PAL... etc.

I'm using the last version of ScummVM PS2 (0.9/0.9.1) downloaded from the main site.

Does anyone have the same problem?, Any suggestions?, Known problems that I donīt know? Rolling Eyes

Thank you for your time Very Happy

first thing that comes to mind is: does the port include the mpeg2 libs? ("About" dialog, under "features compiled in") - if not, the videos won't play

If that's the case, then the latest "official" port to PS2 doesn't play any MPEG2 videos...? That would be very strange, because in the 'About' box it seems to say:

Supports: Tr...(can't read) MP3 zlib MPEG2

(I can't read the words very well, the letters are in gray over a pale yellow background).
