COMI Problem (Cutscene?)

Post by Archon »

Heya,

I'm having a fairly annoying issue with COMI. At the point where Guybrush is about to fire the cannon after cutting the rope, where it usually switches to the Voodoo Cannonball cutscene, it crashes.

If the files aren't compressed at all, it just freezes the PSP and reboots it after 10 seconds, and if I use the tools to compress the files, at the same point, the colours go all weird, the console drops down, and I think it says: "Unable to allocate decoder buffer" (Its rather small to read)

The files were all successfully compressed to MP3 as per the readme, running ScummVM 0.8.0, and its a FW2.0 PSP with EBOOT Loader v0.8.

Any Ideas? All the other games I've tried work 100% (DOTT, SAMNMAX, MI1,2)

Sounds like you hit the memory limit of the 2.00 EBOOT loader.

Nothing you can do except hope that a future version of the EBOOT loader will allow you to use all (or atleast more) of the PSPs memory or downgrade to 1.50 (which I'd recommend, the EBOOT loader is, and always will be, a hack).

Crud. :(

Ah well, I'll just continue playing the other 4, because I use the web browser in v2.0, and don't want to keep jumping back and forth.

Thanks for your help.
