Problems with kyrandia spanish floppy version 1.8

Post by vinacha »

Hi,

I read in the ChangeLog:

Code: Select all

kyra/kyra.cpp: Added md5 of spanish floppy version 1.8. Thanks to clemmy.
I think i have this version because the SCUMM recognises the game. But when I try to launch the game it crashes and this text appears:

Code: Select all

Looking for kyra1
Trying to start game 'Legend of Kyrandia'
couldn't open pakfile 'KYRA.DAT'
couldn't open Kyrandia resource file ('KYRA.DAT') make sure you got one file for your version!
What is 'KYRA.DAT'??

Thanks

Some data that was apparently included in the original executable, but which ScummVM reads from file instead. It's mentioned as "the data file needed" at http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Kyra

which reminds me, the error says KYRA.DAT, but the CVS shows kyra.dat, isn't that kinda ambiguous?

ScummVM tries lowercase and uppercase filenames for that reason.
