Restoring player control, and a question about pausing

Hello!

While going through the text of the Indy Last Crusade rolling demo, I discovered that the GAME PAUSED bar has different text than in the actual game, and may in fact show up in the dialog box at the top of the screen.

However, I can't pause the game to test my theory while the rolling demo's scripts are active.

I've figured out which scripts to kill while playing it in ScummVM to stop the demo from proceeding, but I still haven't figured out how to restore player control. Can anyone tell me the sequence of commands necessary to do that?

And, assuming the GAME PAUSED bar was meant to show up on the dialog box, will it still do that given ScummVM's modifications to the way pausing the game works?
