Problems starting ScummVm

Hi!
Until now I never had problems using scummvm, but now whenever I try to open it the monitor shows me some colorbeams, then turns grey, then white. I tried 0.9.0 and 0.9.1. Can you help me out please?

Im using Win XP SP2.

This is strange. I changed the preferences of the svummvm file in the startup folder into "fullscreen".Then the scummvm menu opens in a small window. But I am not able to start a game in fullscreen. When I open the scummvm.exe in the explorer window, I get the same problem with the screen making strange things.
