Using scumm 0.3.0b on Windows works great, but on scumm 0.9.0 under Ubuntu Linux gives:

WARNING: md5_file couldn't open '/home/wharehouse/roms/scumm/loomCD/000.LFL'!
Unknown MD5 ()! If this is an official version of the game (and not e.g. a fan made translation), please report the details (language, platform, etc.) of this game to the ScummVM team
Cannot find file: '000.lfl'!

Renaming 000.LFL to 000.lfl makes the file not found message appear in scummvm window instead of console

Any ideas

Strange. The MD5 sums for the data files appear to be the same as the ones I have (English "talkie" version), and it works fine for me.

Forget this!!!! I'm so dumb

It was simply a permission issue. A simple chmod 644 fixed it
